Protect the river that sustains us. Your gift keeps the Upper Etowah clean, healthy, and wild for generations to come.
The Upper Etowah River supplies drinking water, recreation, and rare wildlife habitat across north Georgia. However, rapid growth, storm-water runoff, and pollution put it under more pressure every year.
The Upper Etowah River Alliance is a community-led nonprofit working to protect it. With your support, volunteers test our streams, pull trash from our creeks, and teach the next generation to care for the river. Every gift, of any size, helps keep that work going.
Volunteers test for bacteria, chemistry, and stream life, and share the data with local and state agencies.
Trash traps and community cleanups keep plastic and debris out of our streams.
Classroom programs and outdoor trips help kids and adults understand their watershed.
A memorial scholarship in remembrance of an incredible civil servant, an environmentalist, and a lover of all things.
